The reason why this is one of my project is because it made me look harder for things that other people may not do.
All About Me
10 different ideas that i could do with my self interacting with myself is:
At a movie theatre because their are so many ways to for someone to be at a movie theatre someone can be yelling at the screen or sleeping or even throwing popcorn at each other. Also with the other concepts you are just using the person and a place, with the movie theatre you can use props such as popcorn and a drink. There are many more ideas that you can do in this concept.
The title of my picture is "Being me". The big idea behind my work is that people need to stop being cooped up inside inside their house doing who knows what and enjoy the outdoors and go crazy. My artwork looks like someone trying to make the best of their day and just doing everything like hugging the trees. The kind of editing that I used to create this picture was the lasso tool in Photoshop. Also I used the blur and eraser tool to make the edges of the picture blend in more with the background. My overall thoughts on this project was that this was excellent, this project helped me understand Photoshop more. In addition, this project helped me with future project that used Photoshop like the hybrid animal project. I think I did well in the meaning behind the photo. However, I think I could do better on the Photoshop because the picture of me in the front looks a little blurry and choppy.
- Big group of people taking to each other ( One person with big arm movements, another who is shy and doesn’t want to talk, etc
- At a movie theatre (Someone entering their seat, a person yelling at the screen, someone talking a lot to another person who is bored, etc.)
- At a park (kids playing on the swings, someone going down the slide, parents telling their children to be careful, etc)
- At a get together or a party (Someone getting food, a person about to go to the washroom, etc)
- Something to do with a classroom (A person being late, someone teaching, Someone listening, etc.)
- People at a store (Buying something, working at the register, etc.)
- People at the mall going to see Santa (Someone being Santa, someone sitting on Santa's lap, someone taking a picture of Santa, etc.)

Over and under exposure
In this project we learned how to use the light bar in order to have the right exposure. When you go lower down on the light bar the darker the exposure the picture will be. The more numbers you increase on the light bar the higher and lighter the exposure will be. When you use the camera for exposure it saves you time instead of doing it when you do Photoshop. This is one of my favourite projects because this project taught me that you need to take multiple photos because you never know if you accidentally moved your camera or one came out blurry.
Action
I believe what makes a good action photo is that what you are taking is clear and you can easily tell what the moving object is. Also what makes a great action photo is that you are using aperture. Using aperture you can keep your object clear and the other object for example someone throwing something out of focus, but still in the photo. While taking an action photo to make things easier, the sports mods lets your object stay in focus and continuous shooting let you take multiple shots of the object and lets you choose which ones are the best. I feel that I personally can improve my understanding of aperture because if I did try to used a lower aperture the whole photo was blurry and if I did I higher aperture the whole photo was in focus when I didn’t want it to be.
In the first photo, I had decided to take picture of my sister throwing snowballs at me, but that didn’t really work. However, Tayla was nice enough to be a model and do stuff in the snow for one class, so I had told her to throw some snowball “at me” and I believe this was the photo that turned out the best. In Photoshop, I had lowered the saturation in order to make it look like Tayla was almost a ghost.
In the second photo, I was at breakfast taking picture of my sister drizzling the syrup on to her pancakes , but then I realized that the syrup didn't really show because it was so transparent. So I had decided to try out the orange juice and it worked. In Photoshop, I had raised the vibrance up by a little bit because I didn’t like how similar the colour of the table and the orange juice was. Also I had lowered the saturation because originally the photo was very dark and the vibrance made the picture brighter, but I wanted to have a balance between light and dark. In addition, I cropped the top too because it was distracting from the photo.
In the last photo, I had raised the vibrance and saturation because the grass did not look like the mood I wanted the picture to be. Also I used content-aware because in the original photo there were some people on the track and it would have been very distracting in the photo and taking away from what the object of the photo really was.

Point of view
In the first photo I had desaturated the photo because the colours were not very interesting and I thought that it would be cool for it to be a desaturated picture. Also I had cropped the photo because the inside of the roof was very distracting to me because of how irrelevant if it were to still be in the photo.
The second photo, is a bird's eye view because I did take a photo of the same thing but as a worm's eye view. However since the sky was really grey and the flower is a light color the two colors were blending into each other and you couldn't see the flower very clearly. Although, doing a bird's eye view. In Photoshop
In the third photo, the point of view is birds eye view. For this picture, I did both worm’s eye and birds eye because I though they both looked good. In this photo though, I tried to do it in the perspective of a crow swooping down to eat the snail. In Photoshop I used content-aware to clear away some rocks. Also I had raised the vibrance because the original was very dark.
In the last photo, I used the rule of thirds to capture a fellow worms meeting up with a snails shell. In Photoshop, I had raised the vibrance because the since the photo was dark the vibrance would be able to clearly separate the wood and the snail's shell.

Toy Story
The toy that I will be using will going on an adventure to find out what it is capable of. Not just Super-heroes to find out how to use their powers, but regular toys that can go on adventure and find out something new about themselves. Weather that is as big as a discovery as facing a fear or as small as trying a new food, the only thing that matter in this adventure is not the treasure that you will find but the enjoyment and fun that they trying to get there. The reason why this is one of my favourite projects is because I really got to go into my comfort zone of toys. Because I was comfortable shooting the toys I think I was able to find different ways to take a picture of the situation. I believe that I did well shooting from the perspective of the toy because I was able to connect some of the toys to everyday activities and maybe some stuff that I do sometimes.
Fairy Tale
In this project, I really tried to embrace everything Disney. In the first photo, there is two swords almost looking like a pirate ship flag. This picture is a reflection of Pan's personality because he was very adventurous and always took the chance to fight Captain Hook. In the second picture, I think this picture could be a character and a symbolism picture because this picture shows how free pan was. He was as free as a bird. The reason why I put the other bird there and faded it a little was because I wanted it to make it look like it was the birds shadow like Peter Pan has his shadow. I made the picture black and white because in the original Peter Pan the story is very dark and he used his flying for bad things. However, in the Disney adaptation of it he used it help find the Darlings and bring then to Neverland. In addition, if I made this picture in colour it would be difficult to put the original bird with a blue sky background on a white fluffy cloud background. In the third picture, I brought in my sister to take some photos of her as Peter Pan. The reason why I like using my sister so much is because her and I have a really good relationship. During the process of taking the picture of her, I learned that I need to go quickly or else her attention will be lost. Also If I loose her attention I need to find a way of bringing her attention back like a game that can help me with me photo. I chose this picture as the climax picture because what it had resolved was nothing to do with a fight. Peter pan internally had resolved his acceptance as a child. In different adaptation of Peter pan they wrote him as a orphan that was never wanted. And so the reason why he wanted to stay a child forever (In the main version of Peter Pan) was because that way he wouldn't have to go through all of the hardships and responsibilities of a adult. However in the versions that write him as a orphan, they say he doesn't want to grow up because he wants to have a new life and make sure that was the childhood he remembered and not the one were he was a orphan. In the fourth picture, the reason why I chose Peter pans hat was because everybody knows Peter pan by his hat or his shadow. I modernized Peter Pan by not making the hat into a beanie, but into a baseball cap. In the last picture, the reason why I chose two teddy bears was because teddy bears are a way to symbolize childhood. Every person that I know has had some sort of toy when they were a child that they were possessive of. When I was younger, and my other sisters too, I very possessive over a certain bear. It is not this particular one in this photo, but that bear meant a lot to me. The reason why this is one of my favourite photos is because I included my sister in this project. Even though I did include my sister in other projects, I think this is one of the best ones that I did with her.
Conceptual Self Portrait
In my picture I tried to execute a different side of me that no one knows about. Every one think I am the happy energetic person which is represented by all the happy cartoon on the bottom of the picture. However the me that no one about is the one that is conflicted all the time and doesn’t really want to make a decision, but when that person does make the decision they are not very sure about the decision and wonder what would have happened if they picked the other choice.
I executed this picture by having 2 different sides to the picture and i thought one of the ways to do this is to take something really dark and out things around it that are really bright like happy things. The reason why I took a picture of the feet is because usually when someone is sad they look to the ground. Another meaning behind this photo is that when you look down you are missing all the good stuff in front of you even though, you may think that you are not.

Field Trip
The field trip was very fun because we got to explore new things outside of the school environment. The most exciting thing about this field trip was that all my photos would not just be of the school environment. I was really glad that we got to go outside of the school. The best part about the field trip was the ice cream sandwich at the bloedel conservatory. Other then that my favourite part was when we got to go into the bloedel conservatory. There was many plants and birds which was which exciting and new for me. I think that photos turned out great some of them I believe needed little editing. I think my strongest photo was the grey bird being sassy because that bird just showed so much personality. I think that I was just in the right place in the right time. Also I think I did so well taking the picture that I had to do little photoshop. Even when I did do the photoshop I think I made the picture much better and brighter. With my photo, the thing that I would do differently is that I would desaturate the photo and make the red tail stand out more.
The reason why this is one of my favorite projects is because you were able to find interesting ways to find lines that can lead to the object. As you can see in my other projects the projects that I like the most is where you have to look at something from a different angle.
Rule Of Thirds
The reason why I out this photo in my portfolio is because at the beginning of the year I was very proud of the picture. However throughout the year I have grown less fond of this photo and become more proud of other photos.
